Hi, I’m Salena.

I’m a bodyworker, mother and woman who believes there is something powerful about coming back into your body — slowing down enough to feel what’s really there, listen to yourself and remember who you are beneath all the noise.

Soulshine grew from my own journey home to myself.

A few years ago, I found myself deep in motherhood, grieving the end of a relationship and completely disconnected from who I was and what I wanted. I was exhausted, anxious and living firmly in survival mode. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, a quiet inner voice told me: now is the time. Study massage.

So I did.

What began as a career change became something much deeper. As I learned about the body, I began learning myself — how to receive, how to listen to my needs, how to trust my intuition, set boundaries and make choices that actually felt like mine.

Then I discovered KaHuna. I experienced what it could feel like to be deeply held, supported and brought back into the physical experience of being alive. It changed the way I understood touch, presence and the body — and I knew I wanted to share that experience with others.

Since then, my work has continued to evolve through remedial massage, KaHuna, somatic practice and an ongoing curiosity about the nervous system and what helps us feel more at home in ourselves.

Soulshine is my invitation to slow down, feel more and come back to yourself.

Whether you're carrying tension, feeling disconnected, moving through change, or simply craving more space to breathe and be in your body, my intention is to offer a grounded, respectful space where you can soften, explore and receive.

No fixing. No performing. No needing to have it all figured out.

Just a little more space to listen to yourself — and remember that your body has a voice too.

my approach

Coming home to yourself

When you work with me, my intention is simple: to invite you home to yourself.

Whether you've come for KaHuna bodywork or Integrative Pelvic Health®, I don't believe you need to be fixed, changed or given the answers. I believe there is already a deep intelligence within you — and that sometimes we simply need the space, support and attention to hear it again.

My role is to create that space, guide the process and help you become more connected to what you're experiencing in your body.

This can ripple through many layers of your experience:

In your body
You may notice less muscular tension, greater ease of movement, improved circulation, deeper rest and a stronger awareness of physical sensations. Sometimes it's simply the relief of feeling more comfortable in your own skin.

In your mind
The pace can slow. The constant thinking can soften. You may find yourself more able to notice what you're feeling without immediately needing to analyse or change it — creating more space, presence and connection between your body and mind.

In your inner world
As you become more connected to yourself, you may notice emotions, patterns, desires, creativity or parts of yourself that have been quietly waiting for your attention. You may reconnect with your intuition, your sense of aliveness and the things that genuinely matter to you.

There is no particular outcome you need to achieve.

Sometimes coming home to yourself looks like deep relaxation. Sometimes it looks like feeling something you've been too busy to notice. Sometimes it's discovering a boundary, a longing, a new sense of possibility — or simply remembering what it feels like to be fully here.

Your body isn't something you need to overcome.
It's somewhere you get to come home to.
